The research team, including Associate Professor Takayuki Umakoshi from the Institute of Advanced Co-Creation Studies, Osaka University, graduate student Keishi Yang from the Department of Applied Physics, Osaka University, Associate Professor Hidekazu Ishitobi from the Graduate School of Frontier Biosciences, Osaka University, and Professor Takayuki Uchihashi from the Department of Physics, Nagoya University, has successfully observed the deformation process of an azopolymer thin film in real-time at the nanoscale using a high-speed atomic force microscope for the first time.
These results were published in the academic journal “Nano Letters” on February 27, 2024.
