Akihito Kato, a project researcher and Nobuhiko Yokoshi, an associate professor (Osaka Metropolitan University) have developed a theoretical method to extract the chiral part of electronic states of a molecule. They also demonstrated through numerical calculations that high harmonic generation with a bicircular laser field can be effective for molecular chiral discrimination, and clarified the origin of the effect through analysis using this method.
